ACCEL Behavioral Services conducts functional behavioral assessments and individualized behavior intervention plans to meet student needs and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. ACCEL has Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBAs) on staff All classroom staff are trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
Full-time nurses provide on-site health care services, including:

• SVN treatments
• G-tube feedings

Services for the Visually Impaired
Each student with a visual impairment will have his or her own unique visual needs and may require adaptations to the environment, materials, instruction, and curriculum. The Teacher for Visually Impaired may work directly with students and train classroom staff on how to best present classroom materials, providing preferential seating, providing real objects and real-life experiences, and how to assist students with accessing their environment.

ACCEL’s state of the art vocational and transitional program is an integral part of instruction. The vocational program provides students with the curriculum and hands-on experience that prepares them for life after secondary education as they transition from school to employment. The transition to work curriculum focuses on the development of social skills and work in building a sense of responsibility and independence.
