ACCEL provides a continuum of related services in a collaborative approach with educators and therapists to help a student benefit from his/her special education program and make meaningful progress toward meeting IEP goals and benchmarks:

• Occupational Therapy

• Physical Therapy

• Speech Language Therapy

• Adaptive Aquatics

• Music Therapy

• Recreational Therapy

• Vision Services

Qualified licensed professionals including physical, occupational, and speech/language therapists as well as music, recreation, and aquatics therapists provide related services. A speech /language therapist specializes in AAC (Alternative Augmentative Communication) to assure assistive technology devices and/or services are available to students who need them as part of their special education.

Under the supervision and coordination of ACCEL staff, students may have the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics, as well as therapeutic horseback riding.

Nursing

ACCEL employs a comprehensive team of full-time, on site, registered and licensed practical nurses who provide school health services. They work in conjunction with physicians, psychologists, parents, caregivers, ACCEL students and staff in addressing student medical needs.
