April 27- 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Free Admission
Eligibility
Any person who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder is eligible to submit an application.
Work Media
Acceptable mediums include but are not limited to: drawings, paintings, photography, textiles, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, glass work. Two entries per artist may be submitted.
Artists do not have to be present during the show.
Fees
$25.00 for up to 2 entries/artist. Entry fee includes a free commemorative poster.
Limited scholarships are available on a first come first serve basis (1 per artist) through funds donated by the Arizona Association of Private Special Education Providers (AAPSEP). Call Kathy @ 602.926.7211 for scholarship information.
Selection Process
A panel comprised of educators and artists will assist with the selection process. In the event of an excess of art in any particular medium, the panel may determine not all work can be displayed. Artists will be notified by March 30 and in that event, the application fee will be refunded.
Application Procedures
Applications materials must be submitted no later than March 23, 2012.
Each artist is required to submit the following:
• Completed application form submitted by March 23, 2012
• An attachment with image(s) of artwork
• $25 fee (2 pieces/artist)
• Indicate whether the artwork is for sale and include the sale price. There is no commission to ACCEL.
• Information for artist bio. This information should include name, age, what artist is doing presently, (school or program attending, employment, etc.), favorite activities, hobbies, and/or interests.
• Signed release
Notification to artist:
Download the online application, and email the completed application as an attachment to korton@accel.org. We will receive your application the day you submit it, and you will receive verification of your submission. Mailed applications will be notified upon receipt. All applicants will be notified by March 30 whether your artwork has been selected.
Hanging/Displaying/Set up
ACCEL reserves the right to decide how artwork is displayed.
Pickup/Delivery of Artwork
All artwork accepted for the show must be delivered by April 5 to either the Metro Campus, 20151 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix, or East Campus, 1430 E. Baseline Rd., Tempe.
All artwork shipped is to be sent to Metro Campus address. For out of area submissions, the artist is responsible for shipping costs both ways.
All artwork must be picked up by Wed. May 2 from location where it was delivered.
